Synopsis: This presentation focuses on the critical role financial clearance plays in the revenue cycle. We will explore the key components, discuss different operating models, and explain strategies to mitigate challenges.

Christine Benn, COO| C3 Revenue Cycle Solutions

Christine is a leader in the healthcare industry with extensive experience driving organizational transformation, improving processes, and providing advisory support. She assisted in the formation of C3 in 2018 and was appointed the role of Chief Operating Officer. She is responsible for overseeing the operations of their five service lines, human resources, information technology and strategic growth.

Prior to joining C3, she served as the Director of Patient Access at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital where she led the departments of Admissions, ER Admissions, Financial Clearance, Utilization Management, Revenue Cycle Training, and Denials Management. She was responsible for reducing avoidable denials by $19M, centralizing and consolidating financial clearance across the organization, and implementing a suite of patient access software tools.

She spent her first eight years in healthcare at PricewaterhouseCoopers focused on revenue cycle optimization and re-design, patient access consolidation, project management, and corporate strategy.

Christine has a BHS and MHA from the University of Florida along with an Epic Prelude certification and Six Sigma Green Belt.
